Offline text to speech, and audio files you keep
Offline text to speech works for everything already in VoiceRead: once a PDF, ebook or scan is in the app, the standard voices read it with no connection. When you want the audio itself, Studio turns your text into an M4A or WAV file you save to Files or share.

Offline text to speech: on a plane, underground, anywhere.
Once a file is in VoiceRead, the standard voices read it with no connection. That covers PDFs, ebooks, Word and text files, and pages you scanned with the camera. Studio works offline too, and audio you've exported is an ordinary file that plays without signal.
Two things need a connection: premium voices, and importing a web link. Before a flight, switch to a standard voice and add the articles you want while you're still online. If a file lives in iCloud Drive, Google Drive or Dropbox, open it in VoiceRead while you're connected.
